Statcom to play key role in Grand Pier refurbishment
Statcom have been awarded contract to supply a vital temporary communications solution to the lead contractor heading up the reconstruction of one of Somerset’s most historic buildings. On the morning of July 28th 2008 fire ravaged the 104 year old Grand Pier Pavilion of Weston-Super-Mare leaving the seaside community devastated. Just over a year on and work has finally started on the major task of rebuilding the Edwardian tourist attraction. The Grand Pier Company and North Somerset Council finally reached agreement on a number of issues in June 2009 and redevelopment of the tourist attraction is well underway.
Statcom will be tasked with designing and implementing a communications solution which will involve supply, installation and ongoing maintenance of a telephone system / business phone system, patch cabinet, patch panels, patch leads and telephone handsets. Full client administrator and user training workshops will be included.
